	Malmberget - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Malmberget ("The Ore Mountain") is a town in Gällivare Municipality, Norrbotten County, northern Sweden (Lappland).
		Malmberget is known as a major site for extraction of iron ore from deep mines by the company LKAB.
		During World War II, iron ore extraction from Malmberget was transported by rail east to the shore.

		LKAB is now spending some US$85 million on the development of a new haulage level, M1000 at 1,000m, opening up a reserve of 110Mt of ore that will support mining for a further ten years.
