 Malmesbury joins Rugga
Cape Town - The fifth oldest rugby club in South Africa, the Boland club Malmesbury, has followed the lead set by Moorreesburg only a few weeks ago and joined Rugga, the break-away rugby body providing a home for rugby clubs which have found the Sarfu structures unsatisfactory.
Malmesbury, affectionately known as the Blues, was established in the early 1890's.
At a meeting of club management and players on Thursday night an unanimous decision was taken to join the new body.

In the case of Table Mountain, the hard cap is made of Table Mountain Sandstone (TMS), which was laid down over 300 million years ago while Africa was still part of the supercontinent Gondwanaland.
The Table Mountain Sandstone is bedded on ancient Malmesbury Shales, which were laid down about 600 million years ago.
Table Mountain was formed in same way as many flat-topped Karroo kopjes – the uplift and erosion, both above and below sea level, of flat table lands that are capped by layers of resistant rock.
