AONB EH publication In response to Jodie asking about format of proposed AONB EH publication Martin said that things have moved on since publication of Malvern Hills EH publication and that this year Quantock publication would come out in a different format.
A format for the publication for the Mendip Hills was not decided and it may be that the research work may not result in a publication but a web based information resource.
AONB Annual Heritage Seminar Following feedback from the Heritage Seminar held in October the AONB felt that due to the strong support and growing interest in the annual event it was important to retain the event in its current format and held at a venue in the AONB with a strong focus on community involvement.

Transport for Leisure Ltd. (TFL) has been contracted by the Malvern Hills Conservators (MHC) and Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Partnership, and with financial support from the Countryside Agency, to undertake a short study of issues relating to the management of the Conservators' eight main car parks within the AONB.
The first is a brief analysis of the policy context, mainly derived from the Malvern Hills AONB Management Plan of 1996, and the Malvern Hill Conservators Management Plan 2000-2005 for the land managed by the Malvern Hills Conservators.
This report is referred to in the AONB Management Plan, and many of its key recommendation, including the development of the Hills Hopper, were incorporated in the 1996 AONB Management Plan.

Crumpton Hill Wood is located on a Wenlock limestone ridge within the Malvern Hills AONB and within the Malvern Hills Natural Area.
Although it is a stand alone SSSI, it is one of a series of such woods occupying ridges of Wenlock Limestone, to the north of the Malvern Hills.
It is noted for having at least 22 tree and shrub species, high forest sessile oak forming the main canopy with ash, cherry and downy birch also featuring.
