Sundowns should, in fact, have sneaked a victory if Esrom Nyandoro's shot in injury time had gone a fraction to the left and if somebody got a touch to Siaka Tiene's shot across the face of goal.
Without taking anything away from Sundowns, their earning a point from this match had as much to do with Ted Dumitru's decision to take off David Radebe as it did with Ngwenya's influence.
Following last weekend's Coca-Cola Cup loss to Wits University after which Dolezar was escorted from the stadium as irate fans vented their disapproval of their coach's ways, it was generally believed that defeat to Chiefs would see the coach contributing to the country's ever-increasing ranks of the unemployed.
