| | Noam Chomsky to visit Manchester |
 | | One of the world’s most outspoken critics of the press and US foreign policy, Professor Noam Chomsky, is to visit The University of Manchester on 22 May, to give an annual peace lecture, which will take place at New Century Hall, Corporation Street, Manchester (Near Victoria station) from 1-3pm. |
 | | Adrian Jarvis, Research Administrator in the Department of Government, commented: “This the first annual peace conference that The University of Manchester’s Government, International Politics and Philosophy Graduate Centre will be holding. |
 | | The fact that we have been able to attract such an eminent speaker reflects very favourably on Manchester’s growing reputation as a major centre of the study of International Relations." |
