Manfreda is a genus of about 20 species of plants in the family Agavaceae.
Along with Polianthes, members are commonly called tuberoses; some authorities classify the Manfreda with Polianthes, while others group them with Agave.
The Texas tuberose (Manfreda maculosa) is notable for having bright green leaves covered with purple spots.

Manfreda maculosa forms small rosettes to 1' wide with narrow canoe-shaped glaucous blue-green leaves, heavily marked with red purple spots...resembling an octopus with an overabundance of freckles.
