Manhattan District Attorney Robert M. Morgenthau announced today the dismantling of a drug gang based in Manhattan Valley.
The investigation, "Operation Big Valley," began after the police executed a search warrant on an apartment on West 107th Street that was operating as a drug factory.
The District Attorney's Office, together with the Manhattan Gang Squad of the NYPD, were concerned about potential violence in Manhattan Valley after several individuals connected to a large drug ring active in the mid-1990's known as "YTC," a/k/a "Young Talented Children," a/k/a the "Yellow Top Crew," returned to the neighborhood.
