MANIKGANJ, Mar 12:—Open Market Sale (OMS) rice is allegedly being sold in flmarket by a section of dishonest dealers in Savar and Dhamrai upazilas of Dhaka district.
The dead was identified as Mizanur Rahman Kanchan, 45, a wood-merchant and son of late Golam Mustafa Manik of Nanduhar village and he left one son and one daughter.
The victim was identified as Monirul Alam, 35, son of Jharu Master, a resident of the same frontier village.

The study was conducted in two thanas of Manikganj district of Bangladesh and covered 60 small-scale dairy farms from two thanas (the lowest administrative tier of civil administration), namely Manikganj sadar (only municipal area) and Singair.
Manikganj sadar municipal area has been considered as urban location and Singair Thana has been considered rural location.
The focus of the present research was to determine the problems and prospects of small-scale dairy farming, and to find out the variations in the nature and extent of problems and prospects in urban and rural locations, and suggest probable solutions.

The places I visited and contacted in the district of Tangail were Tangail district office, Tangail general hospital, Thana nirbari offices in six thanas (Gopalpur, Ghatail, Kalihati, Basail, Sakhipur, and Mirzapur), and field surveys in two villages in the Basail thana and one in the Sakhipur thana.
In the district of Tangail, 585 persons died, of which 54 were outsiders, day labourers from outside of the area.

Gopinathpur union is a severely arsenic-affected area in Manikganj district.
