But really, an MMORTS would be just the same as a normal RTS with more players, and (depending on your design) a persistent universe.
MMORTS and RTS are completely different in code logic.
It seems that Shadowbane have succeeded in making a MMORTS, but thats only because thay have made it in large extent a RPG, and the players dont handle multiple inanimate units - they ARE the units, and can issue commands to eachother as if it was a strategygame.

The other is Mankind, which I bought a year of ($50) and played for a while.

I have sworn off both EverQuest and Asheron’s Call for reasons of preference, and I have decided to stick with games that are a bit more focused.
Honestly, if this game were turn based it would probably move faster.
Mankind will require patience, this much I can say for sure.

KOTOR - I've always thought Sony's biggest mistake was to base SWG around the original trilogy timeline.
Now, if you walk around in game, you have some of the biggest immersion and fact breakers known to mankind (30 Jedi running around in one battle, etc.), yet it's still super hard to even become a Jedi.
The reason why MOST people like Star Wars is because of the Jedi, and having an RPG game that is not centered around them (at least in the persistant MMO form) is a mistake.

Tried other MMORPGs (Star Wars Galaxies, Dark Age of Camelot, City of Heros, Mankind (MMORTS, but still), World of Warcraft, Asheron’s Call, Asheron’s Call 2, hmm, probably more that I can’t think of atm…)
Never liked any of them as much as Everquest
