While I'd expect a little bit of wear from a movie that's past the 10-year mark, there were quite a few scenes throughout the film where notiable specks, marks and other wear was definitely apparent.

"Mannequin" was a feeble attempt at screwball comedy a few years ago, the story having to do with an ancient Egyptian princess whose spirit inhabited a dummy in a New York department store.
So, here comes "Mannequin on the Move," a sequel that is really more of a remake.
This time a peasant girl in a mythical European kingdom runs off with a prince, but an evil sorcerer turns her to wood with the help of a cursed necklace.

Interesting that you mentioned that Olivia predated Kim Cattrall playing a mannequin coming to life in the movie *Mannequin*, because her next starring role was just that.
In this movie, Olivia plays Lina Bingham, a close friend of Nick's and the mother of a gay teenage son who has looked to Nick as a role model, and she laments the loss she and her son will both feel.
The movie is poignant to the point of a complete tear-jerker, and it is unfortunate that it did not get as much publicity as it deserves.

Made in 1987, Mannequin represents everything that was naff about late-80s Hollywood: from its bland, boxy, electro-rock soundtrack to its sub-Sarah Ferguson fashion sense to its tawdry sets, flimsy characterisation and cheap slapstick humour (including the mandatory amusing dog).
Mannequin is notionally a romantic comedy in which Andrew McCarthy plays a luckless department store employee and Kim (Sex and the City) Cattrall is an Egyptian Princess reincarnated as a shop window dummy, who comes to life when she encounters McCarthy, only to revert to mannequin status when anyone but McCarthy is watching her.

The tagline for this campy 80s movie is: “Just because Jonathan’s fallen in love with a piece of wood, it doesn’t make him a dummy,” but many would probably disagree with that statement.
Starving artist Jonathan Switcher (Andrew McCarthy) is recovering from a broken heart at the start of this movie, and viewers soon learn that he has also been fired from all of his former jobs for working too slowly.
Though “Mannequin” may not be the high point of Cattrall’s career, its quirkiness and dim-witted one-liners will leave you smiling and perhaps taking second glances at all those department store models that normally would never get a closer look.
