Manny Coto is a writer, director and producer of films and television programmes.
Coto graduated from the American Film Institute and has had much experience in sci-fi and fantasy genre, he wrote and directed an episode of Tales from the Crypt and also wrote an episode for and produced The Outer Limits when it was revived on Showtime in 1995.
Coto joined the writing crew of Enterprise in 2003, when the show was in its third season, and became a co-executive producer later that season.

This year has gotten better, with Manny Coto as an executive producer, but UPN's decision to air Enterprise Friday nights against Stargate SG-1 has to be one of the most idiotic moves in TV history!
Stargate SG-1 is a great show that has been on for eight seasons, and scheduled for a ninth, Enterprise can't compete with that!
Look what Manny Coto, a fresh face, has done this season.

The truth, however, was that enough fans (both casual and hardcore) had become fed up with the increasing variance between the beloved Next Generation model of Star Trek and "Neo Trek" that the fanbase fractured into something akin to a Nerd Civil War.
By the time that Manny Coto took the helm, the damage to Enterprise's viewer base had already been done and the series was inevitably canned.
Now, sadly, there's no more new Star Trek to watch.
