Pre-modern maps, and mapping traditions outside the Western tradition, often merge geography with non-scientific cosmography, showing the relationship of the viewer to the universe.
Road maps are perhaps the most widely used maps today, and form a subset of navigational maps, which also include aeronautical and nautical charts, railroad network maps, and hiking and bicycling maps.
For example, maps designed for the hiker are often scaled at the ratio 1:24,000, meaning that 1 of any unit of measurement on the map corresponds to 24,000 of that same unit in reality; while maps designed for the motorist are often scaled at 1:250,000.

Many maps have a scale, determining how large objects on the map are in relation to their actual size.
If the map covers a large area of the surface of a globe, such as the Earth, it also has a projection, a way of translating the three-dimensional real surface of the geoid to a two-dimensional picture.
The most important purpose of the political map is to show territorial borders; the purpose of the geographical is to show features of physical geography such as mountains, soil type or land use.

Medeival "T-O" maps, for example, show Jerusalem at the centre of the world, and in some cases related the "body" of the Earth to the body of Christ.
Maps that depict the surface of the Earth also use a projection, a way of translating the three-dimensional real surface of the geoid to a two-dimensional picture, although informal directional maps and maps of very small areas need not hew cloesly to projections.

Disambiguation may have several manifestations, one of which is to use certain optional words like that in between two clauses of a complex sentence.
This class of linguistic structures are composed of those that present the speaker with the choice of including an optional constituent for the sake of disambiguating his utterance or to forgo the use of such words for being economical.
Disambiguation and economization forces were found to have a significant effect on the choice of optional words (e.g.

Inter-domain Management: Specification Translation - ASN.1 Type to CORBA-IDL Translation
Clearly, all identifiers could be modified in order to disambiguate, however the goal of the translation mechanism to generate the simplest mapping where possible, leads to a slightly more complex algorithm but preserves a direct mapping where no ambiguity arises.
Whenever mapping says that the original ASN.1 code should first be modified or expanded prior to being translated, the resulting code is the valid one for the lexical mapping collision algorithm.

 English Embedding
In mathematics, an embedding (or imbedding) is one instance of some mathematical object contained within another instance, such as a group that is a subgroup.
More explicitly, a map f : X → Y between topological spaces X and Y is an embedding if f yields a homeomorphism between X and f(X) (where f(X) carries the subspace topology inherited from Y).
Every map that is injective, continuous and either open or closed is an embedding; however there are also embeddings which are neither open nor closed.

If there are any other countries we need a map for you can use one of those maps and manipulate it, but I'd recommend using the blue color that I use on the maps to indicate the country in question so we can differentiate our maps from the ones only available under GFDL.
