The establishment of new water districts in Pangasinan came through the initiative of Rep. Generoso DC Tulagan.

Unknown to the present generations, the three heroes in the 'Battle of Dagupan' who historians believed were the ones who sparked the flame of revolution in their own province, later emerged to become governors in different times and climes.
In her book, "Pangasinan: 1891-1900", Dr. Mendoza-Cortez said after the battle on July 22, 1898, all the Spanish provincial officials surrendered and were taken as prisoners of war.
Pangasinan's foremost historian, Restituto C. Basa, said Del Prado was brought to Dagupan and imprisoned.

The municipality of Mapandan, before it came into existence as a town, was formerly a barrio of Mangaldan.
At first the town was located in the hilly regions of the south where there used to be many "pandan" a native palm whose leaves will add aroma to the cooked rice if cooked with it.
This town site later was found unsatisfactory so it was transferred to its present location, the town though its real name is Mapandan is commonly called Balon Bahley (meaning new town) and because of this and its isolation in the Province.

Jaime "James" Aquino, a resident of Mapandan, Pangasinan and said to be a provincial correspondent for various tabloids and newspapers, went to the CBCP office in Intramuros, Manila to submit his complaint letter against Cruz to the CBCP Secretariat.
Aside from allegedly being sexually harassed by Cruz, Aquino alleged that Cruz was getting money from illegal drugs and jueteng, that he was gay and homosexual, that he has two children, and that he was fond of cockfighting and casino, among others vices.

His driver and bodyguard, Victor Villanueva, tried to grab the suspect’s gun but he too was shot in the chest.

Just visited Dasol, Pangasinan last holy week, the beach front is clean and the water is crystal clear.
If you want to go to Tambobong Beach, it is better to take the road from Burgos instead of the rough terrain of Dasol.
