  The State Russian Museum. museum.
The main construction material of the exterior and interior decorations of the building was a natural stone: granite and marble of different colours, that imparted the palace a unique originality and afterwards gave it the name of the Marble Palace.
The architect chose to preserve the external face of the palace, whilst redecorating the interioirs of the state halls of the Marble Palace, at that he preferred late Renaissance, Gothic, rococo and classicism.
In 1888 the palace was inherited by the son of the Grand Duke Konstantin Nikolaevich the Grand Duke Konstantin Konstantinovich.

The Marble Palace is one of the most beautiful palaces in St. Petersburg.
The Marble palace was built by architect Antonio Rinaldi in 1768-1785 by order of Catherine the Great as a present for one of her favorites, Count Grigoriy Orlov.
After Count Orlov's death the palace was bought by the royal family, to which it belonged until the October Revolution in 1917.

Try putting the 1/3 wall flat roof corner piece on the ground and you can see a small gap between the bottom of the piece and the ground.
I did a search and couldn't find any other mention of this kind of issue besides a problem with some arch pieces in the pirate theme.
I haven't gone and tried all the other scenery sets to see if this is true for any other pieces so it might be isolated to the marble sultans palace set.
