Marc Bolan (born Mark Feld) was born in Hackney Hospital, East London on 30th September 1947.
Marc had his first proper demo session at the end of 1964 and his second in January 1965, where multiple take of 'Blowin' In The Wind' and 'The Road I'm On (Gloria)' were recorded.
Marc was the main song writer for the group, with tracks such as 'Desdomonia' and 'Midsummer Night Scene', but only stayed with the group a short time, and left in early July, to launch Tyrannosaurus Rex who made their debut concert the same month.

Marc was a grown man who should have known better than to get in a car if they had been drinking.
But they are wrong when they say Gloria had no drugs or alcohol in her, oh yes she did, I read the story where her and Marc Bolan had gone to a pub, or a club of some sort, and they were celebrating their "love" so to speak, and they were drinking wine.
When they left this place Marc gave his chauffeur the night off, as Marc planned to ride home with Gloria, even his chauffeur was rather reluctant to leave him, but Marc insisted he was in good hands.

Marc Bolan, reacting to creeping in critiscm that all his songs and singles were sounding the same tries to move in several different directions at once, but mostly ends up sounding just like either 'Electric Warrior' or 'The Slider'.
Marc was into some pretty heavy drink and "Substances" in those days even so there is enough class on this album to show what a genius he was.
Bolan is also in fine voice throughout the album, as if no time had passed at all since 1972, rather than the five years that actually had.

Bolan laughs and kids around a lot, and as a result the bonus tracks convey his innate charm and enthusiasm.
Bolan's albums have not always gotten the best treatment in the past when they were reissued on CD, but Visconti's remix is a must-have, and worthy of Marc Bolan's legacy.
