As far as Maron throwing "fl people a bone..." as you put it, in cse you haven't noticed racism is alive and well all over this country, Marc Maron is the last person you need to take issue with on the racism score.
Marc did not take himself too seriously, he always recognized that his job was to provide the listening audience with a good laugh.
Maron was great, maybe he will be great on his own, but the combo of Marc and Mark was the key thing that made the show work.

Really, nothing Marc Moran said during the show was racialist at all, and appeared like a very pleasant, non-confrontational guy, but when the unknown jewess described herself as "white" Quinn jumped down her throat about how jews describe themselves as White or not-White whichever is to their greater benefit for any given situation.
I remember when jew Marc Maron said, "In forty years we're all going to be some shade of brown, anyway." Dipaolo exclaimed, "God forbid!" It just seemed he was cast as the opposition and he was right on cue.
