Marcel Bloch was asked to act as delegated administrator of the Minister for Air.
In 1954 Dassault established an electronics division (by 1962 named Electronique Marcel Dassault), the first action of which was to begin development of airborne radars, soon followed by seeker heads for air-to-air missiles, navigation and bombing aids.
Under the merger deal Société des Avions Marcel Dassault was dissolved on December 14 1971, with its assets vested in Breguet, to be renamed Avions Marcel Dassault-Bregeut Aviation (AMD-BA).

In 1915, in the middle of a war in which new weapons and aviation were displaying the full force of military power, Bloch, assisted by Henry Potez, was asked to coordinate the construction of the Caudron G3 aircraft.
Bloch wanted to pursue his designs further, and with Potez and Louis Coroller he created a two-seater plane called the SAE 4 that could reach nearly 21,000 feet in seven minutes and fly 120 mph for up to two hours.
fter the defeat of France in 1940 Bloch became a victim of the Vichy regime's anti-Semitic laws and was banned from professional life.

Born in 1892 in Paris, Marcel Bloch was a legendary figure, a visionary, an inventor.
After the war, Marcel Bloch changed his name to Dassault, after his brother Paul’s nickname in the Resistance—“Général Char D’assaut” or “Chardasso.” He became the leading aircraft manufacturer in France and contributed to the upgrading of French national defense systems with the launching of such aircraft as the Ouragan and the supersonic Mystère fighter.
Marcel brought his son into the company and made it clear to all that he expected him to take some ownership role in the future, but he would not share power or step aside.

Among the contenders were Dewoitine, Loire, Morane-Saulnier, Nieuport, and Avions Marcel Bloch.
Bloch was a contender on paper only, for the airplane that they had designed and built just didn't want to leave the ground.
After nine months, and some design changes that included a strengthened wing with a greater surface area, improved landing gear, and 940 hp Gnome-Rhone 14No radial engine with a three bladed constant speed propeller, the aircraft that some called an "ugly duckling" (personally I like the looks of it!) took to the air.

After the development of the MB-152 fighter, Bloch (which had been absorbed by the Société Nationale de Constructions Aéronautiques du Sud-Ouest, or SNCASO), began to study a new aircraft, which would encompass a lot of parts from the MB-152, but offered more speed, range and better manoeuvrability.
The new aircraft had cleaner lines, a slightly wider wing, but the cockpit was moved further aft to install a fuel tank in order to increase the range.

While this may appear a flippant assertion - credit has to be given to Marcel Bloch in combining these three innovations with incredible Gallic flair to produce one of the most successful jet fighter designs of all times.
Well known for his pre-WW2 designs, Marcel was transferred to Germany after the fall of France, where it was felt that his technical skills could be put to good use.
However, this was not to be, and after categorically refusing to assist the Nazi war effort, by acting as director of the Frankfurt Focke-Wulf plant, Marcel was sentenced to death and interned in Buchenwald.
