Marcelo Fernan Bridge is an extradosed cable-stayed bridge located in Metro Cebu, Cebu in the Philippines.
Marcelo Fernan Bridge was opened in August 1999 to decongest the traffic from the older Mactan-Mandaue bridge.
The bridge is one of the widest and longest bridge in the Philippines.

Lighting expenses for the Marcelo Fernan Bridge have reached some P1.3 million, prompting the Visayan Electric Co. (Veco) and the Mactan Electric Company (Meco) to issue notices of disconnection.
But engineer Pericles Dakay, private sector representative of the committee, yesterday said that the problem is now solved with the forwarding company’s intention to pay for the lighting expenses for a period of five years.

The problem of settling the monthly power bills of the Marcelo B. Fernan Bridge was resolved yesterday after six companies pledged to grant cash donations monthly to the Mactan-Cebu Bridge Management Committee which is running the operation of the bridge.
The six firms tendered their donations during a pledging session with the committee at the Cebu Governor's Office after the latter disclosed that it is experiencing problem in meeting its expenses for the bridge's lighting and other miscellaneous items that amounted to about P175,000 a month.
Governor Pablo Garcia, the committee chairman, said the pledges shall be later formalized with the signing of a memorandum of agreement between the committee and the firms.
