The FY 2004 cut is $297,526 to their office operating line items and $1,299,099 to the county indigent defense line items (reimbursement and branch offices.) For FY 2005, the cut is $439,703 for operating line items and $2,075,725 to the county indigent defense line items.
Shifting the operating line item cut in FY 2004 to the reimbursement line items reduces the rate by about 0.75 percent more then it would if the shift did not occur.
Bipartisan distaste for the MTBE provision blocked passage of the energy bill in the Senate last session, and the measure was eliminated in a revised Senate bill introduced February 12.

MOUNT VERNON — Charlotte Cline of Mount Vernon died Friday, March 12, 2004, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
She was born on the family farm in Berlin Township on Sept. 28, 1909, and graduated from Berlin High School in 1927.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald L. Crowl, on March 7, 1994; brothers, Dale, Afton, Leland, Russell and Donald; sisters, Jessie Weiss and Mildred Rae; a grandson; and one great-great-grandson.

The University of Central Florida 's College of Engineering and Computer Science, administrator of the Internet Science and Technology Fair (ISTF at http://istf.ucf.edu/), is seeking practicing professionals who would be interested in participating as on-line judges for the national round of judging of our annual program.
This is the seventh year of the ISTF competition and 230 elementary, middle and high school student teams enrolled from 12 states and two countries.
We will be involved in a preliminary round of judging through March and expect 50 teams or more to make it to the final round of judging in April.

The Department is sponsoring seven regional high school summits to help state teams strengthen outcomes for youth and improve high schools.
The next summit is March 26-27 in Atlanta, Georgia, for teams from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, the Carolinas, and Tennessee.

Caracas, March 12, 2004 (Venezuelanalysis.com).- Citgo Petroleum Corporation obtained substantial profits for the first two months of this year compared with January and February of 2003, according to President and CEO Luis Marin.
Last Tuesday, Marin gave a balance of last year’s achievements, minutes before beginning the event at the Presidential Palace in Caracas, in which Chevron-Texaco Corporation received a permit from the Venezuelan government to exploit natural gas at the Deltana Platform off the east coast of Venezuela.
Marin said that profits for 2004 are expected to grow between 30 and 40 percent.
