On February 10, 2003, notice was received from the College of Natural Sciences that the Coordinating Board was reconsidering its disapproval.
If no objection is filed with the Office of the General Faculty by noon on March 17, 2003, the legislation will be held to have been approved by the Faculty Council.

The minutes of the regular meeting of March 3, 2003, were approved unanimously by voice vote on a motion by Mr.
Janku made the motion that B74-03 be tabled to the April 7, 2003, Council meeting, and that staff be directed to contact the applicant to see if they would be willing to consider C-P zoning with uses consistent with what they currently have.

That amount, under federal law, is scheduled to rise significantly in future years until the federal estate tax is repealed in 2010 (although there is some question about the permanence of the repeal).
Under the new state law, the MA exemption is $700,000 for 2003, $850,000 for 2004, $950,000 for 2005, and $1 million for 2006 and years after that.
For single individuals, the new law means that the MA estate tax will be payable in circumstances which were previously exempt.

We want to thank everyone for the tremendous response to Ruth Olson's request in the March 5th 'Lectronic for help getting her and husband Steve Shultz's Nautitech 435 catamaran Kabunza from Grenada to Florida.
Fountaine Pajot was under a court order to produce its financial information on January 17, and on January 16 it stopped participating in the case to avoid providing the information.
Although the couple were awarded $3.25 million by the California court, it's going to be interesting to see if they can ever collect the money - or if they ultimately get stuck with considerable legal bills and a boat that's been sitting on the hard in the hot Florida sun for more than a year.

Brian Brown, stated that the Engage® and Nordel® plants use hydrocarbons to produce synthetic rubber and high impact plastics which are used in auto belts, tubes, and trim, weather stripping for cars, and appliances, etc. The plant employs 75 Dow employees and 80-90 contract employees.
The Engage® plant is scheduled for startup in April 2003.
The flare associated with the Engage® and Nordel® plants is a safety and emission reduction device.

The regular meeting of the Board of Adjustment on Zoning for Salt Lake City, Utah, was held on Monday, March 17, 2003 at 5:00 p.m.
Referring to the Staff Report submitted to the Board of Adjustment, he explained that 17 parking stalls were originally required based on the building square footage of 2,810 square feet which was presented to the City during the building permit process.
The conditional use was approved with 17 parking spaces and the conditions were changed by the administration.

Estimates for tax years 2003 and 2004 indicate that lost revenue could reach a combined $789,841,000 for both years, or 11 times the amount Governor Pawlenty has proposed as Minnesota Housing Finance Agency's state general fund budget for the upcoming biennium.

17 March 2003 -- WHO has today stepped up several activities aimed at strengthening the international response to the recent emergence of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).
SARS is an infectious disease of unknown etiology characterized by atypical pneumonia (see WHO press release of 15 March and additional information at www.who.int.)
The disease is spread from person to person but only through close contact with a case.
