Finally, at midnight on March 3, 1851, Mississippi Senator Jefferson Davis declared that his term had expired and refused to vote when further roll calls were ordered.
The Senate then adopted a resolution stating its opinion that, as the Senate customarily convened at noon on March 4, the previous Congress must end at that time.

March 4, 2005 6:38 AM Remember that film which spread like wildfire across the net in '98 nicknamed "Bad Day at the Office".
The "Bad Day at the Office" video was probably one of the first videos I downloaded when I first got a decent net connection, along with the exploding whale newscast and "Troops", all of which I will probably search for and download this weekend for an hour worth of nostalgia.
It's particularly funny for me because the guy who had my day-job before me actually made it to the point of slamming his fist on the desk daily before, despite having a master's degree and tons of work and military experience, he quit to manage a pizza place.

He could have been in a great deal of pain and just felt it was his time to go.
But therein lies the problem, Hunter talked perpetually for the past 4 years about killing himself for the sake of going out on top, in interviews and otherwise.
Again, I am not really an enthusiaist of his work (though I should probably read more of his work), and I am not really aware of his life other than what I have read in the papers and interviews -- but I do have respect for what he has accomplished in his lifetime.
