		Plan du prieuré de Marcigny en 1768, avant son démantèlement en 1791.
		Marcigny, seul couvent créé par Cluny à l'usage des femmes, attira vite un grand nombre de dames de haute noblesse qui venaient s'y cloîtrer à vie.
		Bâtiment datant de 1777, bien conservé, il est l'oeuvre de Edme Verniquet, architecte des jardins du roi Louis XVI, qui édifia à Marcigny l'hôtel de ville actuel, la maison Delastre et, dans la région, le château de Lugny-lès-Charolles ainsi que celui de Digoine, à Palinges.
