		In a telephone interview last week, Sorenson said he does not expect congressional interference will play a significant role in the Pentagon's decisions on which of the nation's remaining 425 domestic bases and more than 1,000 smaller installations should be closed.

		My part on this project was to merge the illustrations of Marcos Sorenson, who illustrates the character, with shots of the DVD and videocassettes and elements of the film.
		In talking with the film's marketing agency, it was unanimously decided that the volleyball, which Tom Hanks' character adopts as his companion, was the most striking and visually captivating icon to use.
		Marcos would create a background that would help integrate the site and the advertisement with an illustration of the deserted island, and borders around the normal Ask Jeeves promotion boxes which brought to mind the raft that Tom Hanks' character built to escape the island.

		Marcos joined the Commerce Club only one year ago, but in that short time he has exemplified the spirit of the club with his energy and enthusiasm and his appreciation of all the members of the club and its referral system.
		Marcos first came to America in 1985 as a member of the Brazilian Navy, and as he says, “just like in the movies, I fell in love with America.” He returned home, resigned from the Navy, and moved here at age 26 to learn a new language, customs and life.
		Marcos enjoys the friendships he has made here and the inspiration he receives from such a positive and successful group – we believe that inspiration goes both ways and thank Marcos again for reminding us how indeed fortunate we all are.
