		Trescothick is praised as one of England's better players of spin, he established this when he first toured the sub-continent.
		Trescothick was included in the squad for the 2006-07 Ashes in Australia, and played in the first two tour matches against the Prime Minister's XI and New South Wales.
		Trescothick was England's vice-captain under Michael Vaughan (indeed, Trescothick was Vaughan's main rival for the captaincy).
