Minister for Disabled People Maria Eagle issued the rallying call to businesses and service providers as research was published showing that they still have some way to go if they are to meet the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) covering access to goods and services for disabled people.
Ms Eagle stressed the fact that the majority of service providers who had already made changes to make their services more accessible had found that the costs were outweighed by the benefits.
Maria Eagle warned that those who aren't facing up to their obligations are losing out: "Those service providers who have already made changes to improve accessibility for disabled people are reaping the benefits.

Was on the protest, and the purpose was regarding the announcement of cash by Maria Eagle, that has been already announced at least once befor under "Children and Young People".
Maria needs to get the Education house in order, and that means Senior Civil servants and Board Senior Managers, by giving our children the funds they deserve, instead of allowing them to concoct and conduct cuts packages

Northern Ireland's Enterprise Minister, Maria Eagle, has announced the establishment of the Northern Ireland Science Industry Panel.
Commenting on the establishment of the panel, Eagle said, 'Increasing the commercial exploitation of science, technology and RandD in Northern Ireland is key to developing an internationally competitive, knowledge based economy.'
