Maria Gigova (Bulgarian: Мария Гигова) (born April 24, 1947) is a Bulgarian rhythmic gymnast.
Gigova has a total of four gold medals in hoop (1967, 1969, 1971 and 1973), an achievement still unmatched by any other gymnast, as well as one title in ribbon (1971), rope (1969) and free exercise (1969).
Gigova served on the Administrative Council of the Bulgarian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation from 1989 to 1999 when she was elected president of the federation again.

The move follows an unsuccessful attempt by six NMSII MPs, Ivan Kozovski, Maria Gigova, Marianna Assenova, Nikola Nikolov, Plamen Kenarov and Dimitar Stefanov and four members of the group which broke away last year, to set up the NIU on February 10.
Parliament would have seen the birth of the new group had Stefanov not withdrawn his notice of departure from the NMSII and his signature from the application for the new movement to be registered two days later.

THE unsuccessful attempt of six MPs from the National Movement Simeon II (NMSII) to form a new parliamentary group earlier this week stirred spirits in Parliament.
On Monday Ivan Kozovski, Maria Gigova, Dimitar Stefanov, Marianna Asenova, Nikola Nikolov and Plamen Kenarov filed their resignations as members of the NMSII.
The six, together with the four independent MPs Siika Dimovska, Nadka Pangarova, Stela Bankova and Vladimir Dimovski, all formerly of the NMSII, filed a request for the formation of a new parliamentary group - the National Ideal for Unity (NIU).
