Marian had a great chance to score off a corner kick late in the game, but 3 point blank shots were turned away, one by the keeper and 2 by the defense to maintain the 4-1 lead.
On Sunday, Marian was poised to win their first game of the year, holding a 1-0 lead with less than one minute left in the match.

Marian took a 1-0 lead in the first inning, but that was all they could get in the game, Wesleyan scored 4 in the 5th to break open the game.
Marian scored first in the game with a Joel Strode run in the first, but the host team counter with 2 of their own in the bottom of the inning.

Marian is hoping for their second trip to the NCAA tournament, their first came when they won the LMC tournament in 2000.
Marian College received 43 points and three of the seven first place votes in the preseason coaches' poll for baseball.
The Sabres of Marian College are also the clear-cut favorites to win the 2005 LMC softball title as the team received five of eight first place votes and 61 points.

Marian College placed three athletes in the top 15 at the NAIA National Indoor Track and Field Championships March 3 - 5 in Johnson City, Tennessee.
Marian won the 55M Dash (Bennett), the 400M Dash (Basch), 800M Run (Kuria), the 2 Mile Run (Kariuki) and the 4X2 Lap Relay.
The Marian College Knights continued to run well, the women placing 9th and the men 12th out of 18 teams.
