Maureen Maxwell Tiption and her sister Marilyn Maxwell Malone, both from Metairie, Louisiana, donated seventeen boxes of books and materials from the collection of the late Murvan M. "Scotty" Maxwell to the Odum Library in Moultrie, Georgia.
Scotty was founder of the Clan Maxwell Society of the USA and a noted genealogist.
His papers will be available for study by Maxwells and others at the Odum Library, a facility which has become the primary repository of Scottish clan and family information in the United States.
