Mark Begich (born 1962), U.S. Democratic Party politician, He is currently Mayor of Anchorage, Alaska, and is the city's first native-born mayor.
Prior to becoming Mayor in 2003, Begich served in the Municipal Assembly from 1988 to 1998, including three years as Chairman and two years as Vice Chairman.
He is the son of the late U.S. Congressman Nick Begich, who died in a 1972 plane crash, when Mark was ten years old.
