	Market Square Arena - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Market Square Arena was an indoor arena located in Indianapolis, Indiana.
		The Pacers moved to the new Conseco Fieldhouse for the 1999-2000 season, and Market Square Arena was demolished on July 8, 2001 in a multimillion dollar implosion.
		One of the more memorable games at Market Square Arena was the men's basketball final of the 1987 Pan American Games, in which Brazil, behind 46 points from legendary gunner Oscar Schmidt, stunned a team of American college stars for the gold medal.

		Make no mistake; Market Square was built 25 years ago for the same greedy reasons that the Conseco Fieldhouse is being built.

		The Market Square Partners concept incorporates its green space and open areas with the city's usage and it doesn't give the feeling of an enclosed area just for the residence.
