Markus Yes well I mean this was great we did not know what to expect when we came there back in 1987, we played in Washington DC and its all pretty big and we had this bus driver dressed totally in leather, he was a big fat guy.
Markus Grosskopf I would say in July, but there are always delays however we are on schedule so it will be done on time and we have to be right on schedule because we will miss the festivals and stuff if we are not.
Markus Grosskopf When you have all of these problems you cant freak out and you have to deal with it...I mean when you have fights and such and record company disputes you have to deal with it and move on.

Markus was born in Hamburg, Germany on the 21st of September 1965.
Markus was talking to a guy who knew Kai Hansen, who was looking for a bass player for his band Second Hell at the time.
Once again it was time for Markus to pack his bags and watch out for another gig to climb higher in his career.

Markus: We had this producer, Roy Z., he was actually a pretty nice guy but he had been probably told by the management what to do and how to do things and it wasn't always what we wanted to do.
Markus: Yea it ok, I like the album a lot, we had a great time recording it and then we had a pretty successful tour.
Markus: Well if you listen to the album you will soon realize that there is no lack of creativity, because we even extended the story.

Helloween is a German speed metal/heavy metal/power metal band founded in the early '80s by members of the two bands Ironfist and Powerfool.
The original line-up featured Kai Hansen (Vocals/Guitars), Michael Weikath (Guitars), Markus Grosskopf (Bass) and Ingo Schwichtenberg (Drums).
In 1984 the band had signed a deal with Noise Records (see 1984 in music) and recorded two songs for a Noise compilation record called Death Metal.

Roland's 1st is entitled "Four Seasons of Life" had Markus Grosskopf and Uli Kusch as guest appearences on the album.

Grosskopf says Helloween had great rehearsals in the studio with Cross but after the first track he put down on tape, he had a breakdown that resulted from the malicious Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) which affects the system and makes it difficult to handle stressful activities.
Grosskopf calls the gap between tours a bit of a break in typical Helloween humor.
Grosskopf is looking forward to getting back to America and feels that the small tour was a way to test the American market since it's been so long between visits.

As Markus had still traveled with us in case there would have been a problem, we let him come in for the the last encore "I Want Out".
A long party followed, it was bye bye to Markus at the end of the night and we hoped on the bus and shot across the border into the Czech Republic.
Also a big thank you to Markus Grosskopf for a helping hand on the bass during the first week on the tour and also to Danny Olding for the fantastic support on the keyboards!

Shockmachine is a project of Markus Grosskopf of Helloween, and also features ex-Helloween drummer Uli Kusch.
Shockmachine is a disc for Helloween die-hards who have to own everything from the band members, and is a decent listen every now and then, but otherwise this CD doesn't hold a dime to Markus' main band.

The original line-up consisting of Michael Weikath (Guitars), Markus Grosskopf (Bass), Kai Hansen (Guitars) and Ingo Schwichtenberg (Drums) showed a great measure of independence and an upcoming determination to develop musically.
Two years after their foundation, the band released three songs on a forward-looking heavy metal sampler, subsequently signed a contract with Noise records and released their first EP.
The line-up consisting of Deris, Weikath, Grapow, Grosskopf and Kusch got together in 1994 – making practically a new beginning and released the seventh (and in this case by no means unfortunate) Helloween album, “MASTER OF THE RINGS”, which took up where the groups success story had left off.

His romoured departure from Freedom Call was said to be that he didn't want to play metal anymore, but thank heavens, Helloween took such nonsense out of him =) The songs he's written on the album are easily among the top five and a greater start in a new band seems hard to beat.
Markus Grosskopf has also started to write songs in a bigger way than before and his contributions really whoops some ass.
Andi Deris does his best vocal performance ever and overall the album is very short of the slightest weakness.

Me - Rollie, joined Markus in 2000 with his Solo-album "Shockmachine" for playing all the lead stuff so the relationship was always alive.
Stefan broke his back, Carsten got a little (no joke) heart attack, Ansas broke his shoulder in a motorcycle accident, I got an asthmatic problem through allergy and our singer broke his heart from a fuckin bad chick, ha, ha.

In the beginning of 1980 in Germany Kai Hansen, Markus Grosskopf and Ingo Schwichtenberg were playing in a band called Gentry.
He didnt so Michael left Powerfool and started playing with Kais band, which Markus renamed to Helloween.
They begun to write songs together and came up with three albums, a mini-LP named Helloween, a LP called Walls Of Jericho and the Judas EP.

And it still recalls feelings of hope inside of me, Miki Kiske working with Kai Hansen and Markus Großkopf again.
The intro was something different, played on a hammond organ I think.
