Jennings was born on November 10, 1951, on the South Shore of Montreal.

Board members Marlene Jennings and Virgil Brown, along with board attorney Holly Miller, told a packed house in Village Hall May 23 that villagers will get more satisfaction by ironing out their differences with the Bedford Schools leaders.
The next step would be to form a charter or community school, but Jennings said that idea may not be practical because it would have to be privately run, it would likely have to take in students from other communities in the district and the resident's tax dollars would still go to the Bedford Schools.

Marlene Jennings was featured recently in The Link for her work dealing with racism (News, "Barriers exist and must be over," Feb. 15), including lending her support to Black History Month and applauding the ongoing struggle against anti-Judaism in Montreal.
