Starling was the best welterweight in the world for about two years....he'd probably march right through today's blown up lightweights and money seeking pretty boys.
I also think that based on his match's past Honeyghan, Starling had mentally passed his peak and no longer cared as much about his trade as in years gone by when he was truly hungry.
Starling imo heard the bell and even though his hands were still raised, he was about to drop them hearing the bell....Starling mentally relaxed, but the punch by Molinares was already on it's way.

The NC ruling was fair, but Starling was definitely winding up to throw a shot as he was hit by the KO shot.
One other thing that I remember about Starling was that an opponent of his early on died of injuries suffered in their fight....Starling seemed to kind of go easier on opponents after that.
Starling was turning away from Molinares when he was hit, but he wasn't turning away to head to his corner, he was turning away as he was winding up to load up with a right hand.
