The route extends from the Gennevilliers transit dock to the Precy sur Marne unloading dock and the waste is delivered to the Claye-Souilly (77) residual waste recovery and landfill center.
The project, which is the by-product of a partnership between Onyx, the autonomous Port of Paris and the Gennevilliers and Precy sur Marne districts, serves as a model in France through the amount of tonnage transported and the reduction in nuisances at every step, compared to conventional transport options.
River transport is currently the least polluting, safest and most economical way to ship merchandise from one place to another.

In 1914 there were many German placenames in Australia, particularly in the state of South Australia (where there were at least 69 German placenames).
Some of the new names were taken from Aboriginal languages, and some were names of battles or of generals in the war in Europe (for example: Verdun, Mt Kitchener).
