Moiwana is een voormalig bosnegerdorp in het district Marowijne in het oosten van Suriname.
Op 29 november 1986, tijdens de Binnenlandse Oorlog tussen het Surinaamse leger en het junglecommando onder leiding van Ronnie Brunswijk, vond er een slachting plaats, die bekend staat onder de naam Moiwana'86.

The village was struck by a government-led massacre on November 29, 1986, as part of the war between the Surinamese army and the Jungle Commando led by Ronnie Brunswijk.
