Mars has only a quarter the surface area of the Earth and only one-tenth the mass, though its surface area is approximately equal to that of the Earth's dry land because Mars lacks oceans.
The datum for Mars is defined by the fourth-degree and fourth-order spherical harmonic gravity field, with the zero altitude defined by the 610.5 Pa (6.105 mbar) atmospheric pressure surface (approximately 0.6% of Earth's) at a temperature of 273.16 K. This pressure and temperature correspond to the triple point of water.
Mars Odyssey determined that there are significant deposits of water ice in the upper meter or so of Mars' regolith within 30° of the north and south pole.

Mars ran into Bessatsu friend (Betsufure) shoujo manga monthly magazine in Japan, from 1996 to december 2000 and is now published in Italy on monthly magazine Amici (Star Comics).
Mars captured me from the first page, I totally fall in love with the drawings and the story, so passionate end amazing.
In my opinion mars should be part of every manga lover collection, of course especially of shoujo manga lovers, but not only.

 [Manga] Mars Review
The manga is not only about a young (and rather different) couple, but how they manage to keep their relationship going throughout the many incidents that happen involving first Rei's odd past and then Kira's.
A few months ago I bought the first volume of Mars all because I got the mangaka, (manga artist/writer) Fuyumi Soryo, name mixed up with an other artist who’s name I’d read in a review somewhere and was eager to have a read at one of their mangas.
Mars' surreal tone and the main characters' interesting attitudes give the manga a bit of an advantage in the waves of shoujo titles with similar plotlines and in my opinion can be a good read not just for shoujo fans, but for manga readers who like their good dose of tragic and violence.

Things that I anticipate from this manga series, are a lot of personal issues to be worked out and a lot of growing up among the characters.
"Mars" is going to be one of my guilty pleasures, I think, along with "Marmalade Boy" and "Child's Toy." It seems very fluffy, and I don't have the excuse of spectacular artwork to back my interest up.
It is the typical shoujo manga with thin lines and the use of screentone for shading.

 MARS
Currently up to its ninth volume, it is a powerful story of two high school students, a shy girl and a young man full of anger, who fall in love despite their extreme differences.
She is a talented artist, but her quiet and assuming nature leaves her with few friends, and, because of her rather extreme reactions of fear to the opposite sex, the boys tend to avoid her.
Its rather forward approach to topics such as sex and suicide may surprise those unfamiliar with the genre, but, because it does not skirt or focus solely on these concepts, it maintains a sense of reality despite what are admittedly extreme circumstances.

I’ve always had a weak spot toward Fuyumi Soryo’s brilliant romantic manga series, “MARS.” I love the characters, the story, and the tension that lies within the situations; it’s the Japanese comic equivalent of “The O.C.”, without a David Gallagher figure and his fuzzy eyebrows.
The one-shot manga is really a short series of stories that neither really live up to the title’s pedigree.
Art-wise, there’s nothing unique about the style, and there are manga readers that complain about the ladies’ eyes being too big and creepy-looking, but otherwise, it was solid and she did a great job making certain expressions of the characters feel convincing.

In the manga, Sailor Mars doesn't have any items that aren't in or that are renamed in the anime, so I've decided to use this page to point a rather big difference of the senshi of fire in the manga and anime.
The Sailor Mars/Rei in the manga is much more graceful, sophisticated, and mature; she and Usagi don't always stick out their tongues at each other.
Sailor Mars/Rei of the anime is not as graceful or mature as the manga Sailor Mars/Rei, but she is way more vibrant, even if she does seem like she has an attitude problem.

GOD MARS garnered the approval of many critics in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia (countries where Mars was aired) because of its fast-paced storytelling and the fact that it was created very artistically.
the drama followed closely to the manga but the drama isn't as dark and gloomy as the manga because it would probably violate some rule in taiwan and they wouldn't be able to broadcasted.
