Although the Town isn’t required to have an implementable plan until January 1, 2010, the Town’s leadership sees the framework that is provided under the Smart Growth legislation as a means to improve their planning efforts and strengthen the relationship between the comprehensive plan and the Town zoning ordinance.
The Wood County plan proposed bicycle routes to be established along all of the county roads in the town via widened shoulders as the county roads were upgraded and maintained.

 The University of Wisconsin - Marshfield/Wood County
Moving from the little town of Independence, Wis., with a population of just over 1,000 people, to Marshfield to attend the university wasn’t exactly my cup of tea.
So going home on the weekends is commonplace for them, but not for me. Boredom sets in like a virus and only the football games on Sunday help keep me sane.
Overall, the move to Marshfield and having the experience of meeting new people is not as negative as my older relatives told me. The freedom I possess is precious and the friendships I forge here will hopefully last a lifetime.
