Was a Manhunter - something of a telepathic police officer and was revered by the rest of the race.
Manhunter on the other hand has to reshape his body and I assume brain as well to accomplish the same thing.
Martian Manhunter, does not have any specific or notable psy advantages of any kind when compared to his own race of Green Martians or his rival race of White Martians.

The Martian Manhunter is an ideal figure for this exploration, as a character belonging to the worlds of both SF and superheroes.
Of course, the Manhunter offers a fair number of difficulties for such a treatment of his character, since as a "little green man" Superman, he lacks the realism that makes SF possible.
