Martin Bashir (born January 19, 1963, in London) is a British journalist of Pakistani descent.
Bashir was voted fifth on a poll of the 100 Worst Britons by the British TV station Channel 4 in 2003.
Bashir was born in London and was educated at King Alfred's College of Higher Education, Winchester, studying English.

Martin Bashir to make 2nd Jacko documentary LONDON - British journalist Martin Bashir, famous for his documentary 'Living with Michael Jackson', is making a second documentary about the troubled singer who faces a major court battle on charges of child abuse.
Bashir, who now works for ABC's '20/20' in the US, is believed to have been secretly interviewing key witnesses due to appear at the singer's trial, where the singer faces 10 charges that he molested a 13-year-old boy at his Neverland ranch two years ago.
It was also Bashir's ITV documentary, seen by 27m people and named programme of the year at the Royal Television Society journalism awards, which led to the investigation into the star.

The government's bid to get Martin Bashir on the stand was disclosed this afternoon in court filings unsealed by Superior Court Judge Rodney Melville.
In one of those documents, Melville termed Bashir a "necessary material witness" with regard to the production, editing, and broadcast of his devastating documentary "Living with Michael Jackson." During that program, Jackson spoke about sharing his Neverland Ranch bedroom with various boys and was filmed cuddling with the teenager who has accused him of molestation.
According to the unsealed material, Bashir was served with a subpoena January 4 in New York, where he now works as a correspondent for the ABC newsmagazine "20/20." One unsealed document, a copy of which you'll find below, describes the Santa Barbara District Attorney's anticipated travel arrangements for Bashir.
