The 1820 Martin County Indiana Census lists a Joseph Raney (Riney) over 45 with 8 sons and 5 daughters so obviously I'm missing at least 4 childrens names (9 through 12 born after 1820 and 8 is uncertain though probable).
It is said that the Riney family began to spell their name with an a rather than an i after they moved to Indiana (around 1818).

Originally a part of Daviess County, Martin was organized as a separate county February 1, 1820, it was named in honor of the late Major Martin, of Newport, Kentucky, a hospitable and patriotic citizen.
While the county buildings were being built at Dover Hill, Mount Pleasant again became the County Seat.
On April 27, 1876, the Courthouse was destroyed by fire, and pending the erection of new buildings, the offices were moved across the river to Shoals.
