A burn is a type of injury to the skin caused by heat, electricity, chemicals, or radiation (an example of the latter is sunburn).
Electrical burns are generally symptoms of electrocution, being struck by lightning, being defibrillated or cardioverted without conductive gel, etc. The internal injuries sustained may be disproportionate to the size of the "burns" seen - as these are only the entry and exit wounds of the electrical current.
Burns are assessed in terms of total body surface area (TBSA), which is the percentage affected by partial thickness or full thickness burns (superficial thickness burns are not counted).

Marty doesn't hit the Rolls Royce, so by doing so, he creates another 1985, a 1985-E, which rolls into a 2015-C where we assume is is a success.

Doc and Marty would return from 2015 to a minor altered LP 1985 timeline, and there would be no reason to go back to 1955 and get the almanac.
Objects does disappear or change, and Marty did almost disappear also...
