Why Marvin Pratt Should be the Next Mayor of Milwaukee
When Marvin Pratt started his career on the Common Council, he was my alderman there, and I’ve known him since that time.
That’s the way Milwaukee is. I believe Marvin Pratt can change this, because while he’s still tuned into the streets of the first district he served in, I’ve never known him to pander to anyone’s prejudices or racial animosity.
Marvin Pratt has that commitment and has been acting on it for years.

Pratt took advantage of Norquist departure - The Business Journal of Milwaukee:
As Acting Milwaukee Mayor Marvin Pratt basks in the glory of finishing a surprising first in the Feb. 17 mayoral primary, he may want to look back to June 2003 as the key month for his campaign and send a 'thank you' letter to former mayor John Norquist.
