Mary I of Scotland - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mary I of Scotland (Mary Stuart, better known as Mary, Queen of Scots; December, 1542 – February 8, 1587) was the Queen of Scots (the monarch of the Kingdom of Scotland) from December 14, 1542 to July 24, 1567.
Mary, being a devout Roman Catholic, was regarded with suspicion by many of her subjects as well as by Elizabeth I of England, her father's cousin and the monarch of the neighbouring Protestant country.
Mary refused to acknowledge the power of any court to try her since she was an anointed Queen, and the man ultimately in charge of the prosecution, James Stewart, Earl of Moray, was ruling Scotland in Mary's absence.

Unfortunately for Mary, who longed for the romantic ideal of marriage and children, she was never married during her father's life, partly due to the fact that Henry could never decide on a dowry and also the fear that a foreign prince who married Mary might try to force a claim to the crown.
Anne agreed to Henry's request for a divorce and she was content to stay in England with gifts of land and property and live the life of a woman of leisure.
Mary was at his side and he told her he was unhappy that he had not had her married as he had wished.

For those nonmembers who agree with the union's political expenditures, sec.760's presumption of dissent presents an unconstitutional burden on their right to associate themselves with the union on political issues.
Given the Boy Scouts requirement that we give deference to the union's view of what would impair its political expression and given the long recognized, highly protected nature of political speech, we conclude that RCW 42.17.760 significantly burdens the union's right of expressive association.
