The farm was bought by GNJ Hayward in 1863, but wait, here is more on the Hayward side of the family, as narrated by David Raymer, a family member.
In 1863 George Nathaniel John Hayward (1826 - 1890), third son of the 1820 Settler, James Hayward (1799-1882), bought the farms Noordse Poort of 994 morgen and de Poort from Marx for £1 000 (actual transfer took place in 1871 and T I Ferreira, F Gerds and J Mosel were listed as co-owners).
In October 1969 George, had the remains of Mary Hayward, wife of the Settler and buried at Orange Grove under the Winterhoek mountains, re-interred in the family graveyard on Noorspoort, next to those of her son George Nathaniel John.

After World War II, Kosiński was reunited with his parents and earned degrees in history and political science in Poland before emigrating in 1957 to the United States.
In 1962 he married American steel heiress Mary Hayward Weir, who in 1968 died of cancer.
Kosiński is perhaps best known for his novels The Painted Bird (1965) and Being There (1971).

First, The Genocide of Native Americans is a paper written by Sharon Johnston for a graduate class entitled "Death and Dying" at the University of California at Hayward.
It is in no way an article; it is simply an assignment, not a piece written by a proven scholar and worthy of publication in a relevant journal.

In 1957 he emigrated to the United States, becoming a naturalised citizen in 1965.
In those eight intervening years, he taught himself English, did graduate work at Columbia and the New School for Social Research, wrote two nonfictional studies of Soviet life under the pseudonym Joseph Novak, met and married the steel heiress Mary Hayward Weir, and completed his first novel, The Painted Bird.
That novel created a sensation, and for the next twenty-five years, Kosinski would produce eight more novels, establishing himself as one of the great literary curiosities, if not one of the major literary figures, of his generation.
