Two-time Academy Award-nominee Mary McDonnell is one of the most respected performers of the American stage and screen.
McDonnell made her Broadway debut with Mann's short-lived Execution of Justice in 1986, and later starred in the Wendy Wasserstein hit The Heidi Chronicles and in the 1996 revival of Tennessee Williams' Summer and Smoke.
McDonnell starred as Dr. Eve Sheridan in the ensemble sitcom E/R (1984) with Elliott Gould and pre-stardom Jason Alexander and George Clooney.

In 2003, McDonnell starred in the miniseries remake of Battlestar Galactica as President Laura Roslin.
