Mary Woronov Biography :: Hollywood.com(Site not responding. Last check: )
Woronov came to NYC in the early 1960s to be a painter.
Woronov seemed to find her spiritual home at producer Roger Corman's New World Pictures appearing in such memorable cheapies as Bartel's "Death Race 2000" (1975), as racecar driver Calamity Jane, and Allan Arkush's boisterous "Rock 'n' Roll High School" (1979), as a tough principal.
Woronov was again delicious as a pretentious divorcee in Bartel's "Scenes from the Class Struggle in Beverly Hills" (1989).
MaryWoronov: In Nightclub I was a man; in Conquest Of The Universe I was sexless; in Kitchenette I was a fag hag.
MaryWoronov: Yeah, the first one we made in Italy; it's called Kenek; it's about mind-fucking; I'm the girlfriend of the eviller man. The producer died of cancer and now it all belongs to his grandmother or aunt.
MaryWoronov: Yeah, I'm playing the Queen of the Amazons in this play The Two Noble Kinsmen that's supposed to be half by Shakespeare.
In the late 1960s, actress MaryWoronov was hanging out with Andy Warhol's crowd at the Factory in New York.
Woronov details her life over an inexact period of time--refusing to remember summers or springs or numerical years.
Always just out of Woronov's reach, Ondine would swoop down on her when she least expected it, taking her for dazed cab rides in search of dope, having her steady him in a grimy bathroom while he shot up through his eyeball.
When Mary Bland (MaryWoronov) gets assaulted by one of the repulsive swingers from the neighboring apartment, her husband Paul (Paul Bartel) rescues her with a swift blow from a frying pan--only to discover a substantial wad of cash in the swinger's wallet.
A lure-and-kill scheme follows, which nicely fills their nest egg until a slippery thief named Raoul (Robert Beltran of Star Trek: Voyager, making his film debut) stumbles onto the truth and insists on getting a share.
When Raoul starts demanding a share of Mary as well, Paul has to take drastic steps.

Cast Includes: Catherine Mary Stewart, Melli Maroney, Robert Beltran, MaryWoronov
This likable exploitation movie, witty throughout, opens with the light from a comet (an idea stolen from John Wyndham's Day Of The Triffids), destroying almost everybody by turning them into red dust or, in the less severe cases, cannibal zombies.
