Mary of Antioch - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Maria of Antioch pretended to the throne of Jerusalem from 1269 to 1277.
She was the daughter of Prince Bohemond IV of Antioch and his second wife Melisende of Cyprus.
Since Mary was, at the time of the death of Conradin (October 29th 1268), the only living grandchild of Queen Isabella, she claimed the throne on basis of proximity in blood to the Kings of Jerusalem.

Mary: Grace and Hope in Christ
Mary, the mother of our Lord Jesus Christ, stands before us as an exemplar of faithful obedience, and her "Be it to me according to your word" is the grace-filled response each of us is called to make to God, both personally and communally, as the Church, the body of Christ.
In honouring Mary as Mother of the Lord, all generations of Anglicans and Roman Catholics have echoed the greeting of Elizabeth: "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb" (Luke 1:42).
Mary seems to have been invited and be present in her own right, not with "Jesus and his disciples" (2:1-2); Jesus is initially seen as present as part of his mother's family.

 St. Mary of Egypt
The story of Mary of Egypt as it is written for the church is really three separate stories: The story of Mary's life, the story of the priest Zosimas, and the story of their experience together.
Mary, the sinful woman, became teacher and giver of grace; Zosimas, the venerable priest and monk, became disciple and suppliant.
Mary, for her part, was alarmed because of her nakedness, and begged him to lend her his cloak so that she could stand in modesty before him.

Princess of Antioch refers to a reigning princess of that, or the consort of a reigning prince.
According to wiki standards, she can be titled as "Mary of Antioch"", there is no error, but a possibility of confusion, if other Mary of Antioch (were there important enough other personnages of that name?) ever gets her article.
According to the entry on Charles VII, his claims were based on his descent from Mary of Anjou, daughter of Louis II; but since there was already a legitimate heir-male, the testament of Charles IV of Anjou was probably the best claim he had (followed, of course, by his conquest).

The title was, however, contested by Mary of Antioch, a granddaughter of Amaury.
She appealed to the Pope, and unable to make good her claim, sold her rights to the crown of Jerusalem to Charles of Anjou, who still aimed at the conquest of Constantinople and at uniting the kingdoms of Sicily and Jerusalem.
In 1277 Charles of Anjou, in pursuance of his policy in the East and under cover of the sovereign claims which he had purchased from Mary of Antioch, sent a body of troops to Acre.

There were also feasts in memory of Mary in Antioch dating back to 380 A.D. In 451, when the bishops gathered at Constantinople, Emperor Marcian asked the Patriarch of Jerusalem to bring the relics (bones) of Mary to Constantinople, from Jerusalem.
The patriarch explained that there were no relics of Mary, that "Mary had died in the presence of the apostles; but her tomb, when opened later...was found empty...the apostles concluded that the body was taken up to heaven." ALEXIUS II [Alexius II] (Alexius Comnenus), 1168-83, Byzantine emperor (1180-83), son and successor of Manuel I. His mother, Mary of Antioch, who was regent for him, alienated the population by favoring the Latin element in Constantinople.
In 1182 Alexius' cousin Andronicus, after instigating a massacre of the Latins, stormed the city, had Alexius sign the death sentence of his mother, and, as Andronicus I, became coemperor.
