		Masan is a city in South Gyeongsang Province, South Korea.
		Masan is known for its highest peak called Muhaksan.
		Masan has two universities: Masan College, which is located on the northwestern outskirts of the city, and Kyungnam University (경남대학교)[2], which is located in the southern part of Masan adjacent to Shin Masan.

		In 2002, 100 laborers at the Chilsu water filtration plant (in the city of Masan, on the south coast of South Korea) nullified the government's plan to sell their plant to Vivendi.
		Throughout South Korea, the average water leakage rate (amount of water leaked from the pipe compared to the amount of water coming from the plant) is now 50% because the water pipes are so old.
		Funny thing is that the public servant (in the Masan municipal government) who cooperated with Vivendi in developing the company's plan actually denied the existence of this plan when he was first asked.

		Masan Bay, located on the southeast coast of Korea, is a long and narrow inlet of a semi-closed bay that receives industrial and municipal wastewaters from the cities of Masan and Changwon.
		In this study, sediments collected from 28 locations on Masan Bay were analyzed for total organic carbon (TOC), nonylphenol (NP), octylphenol (OP), bisphenol A (BPA), organochlorine pesticides (HCB, HCHs, CHLs, and DDTs), individual polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) congeners, and 16 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) to characterize their spatial distribution and contamination status.
		Concentrations of NP in sediment ranged from 113 to 2,890 ng/g on a dry weight basis (dry wt), whereas concentrations of OP and BPA were, on average, 20--110-fold less than those of NP.
