Unofficial circuit history (from grandprix.com): It was back in 1926 that a group of cyclists on the main road from London to Folkestone noticed a natural amphitheater on land belonging to Brands Hatch farm, near the village of West Kingsdown.
Circuit history from the official Web site: The name 'Terlamen' is derived from 'Terlaemen', the name of the local domain that is already quoted in 1293 and at the heart whereof the circuit has been constructed.
The 1,65-mile (2.64-kilometer) circuit itself is a temporary street circuit in downtown Denver surrounding the Pepsi Center and adjacent to the Busch Gardens amusement park.

Masaryk circuit is the most famous Czech racing circuit, located close to Brno.
Apart from the inaugural A1 Grand Prix to be held here, the circuit is used predominantly by Moto GP, World Superbikes, and the GT Championship.
Masaryk Circuit is also within an 8km distance from the Brno Dam and its area is divided by a border of two settlements, Brno - Zebetin and Ostrovacice.

The Czechoslovakian Grand Prix was a Grand Prix motor racing event first held on September 28, 1930 at the Masaryk Circuit in the town of Brno in Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic).
Since 1934, the race was dominated by the German Silver Arrows.
Due to the German occupation in 1938 the race was discontinued until 1949 when the Masaryk Circuit was shortened to 17.8 km.

Spain's Sete Gibernau set a qualifying lap record to take pole position at the Czech Grand Prix, narrowly defeating fellow Honda rider Nicky Hayden.
Gibernau, winner of last year's race at the undulating Masaryk circuit, laid down a lap of one minute 57.504 seconds to steal the pole from the American Hayden, who seconds earlier had posted a lap of 1:57.551.
Loris Capirossi on a Ducati fills out the front row for Sunday's race, while his Italian compatriot and champion Valentino Rossi could only manage fourth on the grid.
