  The Mountains of Pakistan: Masherbrum 7821 SE Face
Masherbrum 7821m was climbed back in 6th and 8th July 1960 by two American Bell Clinch and his friend with Akhtar a Pakistani from South East Face.
Masherbrum also called K1 name by British survey team in 1856 while sequencely naming the peaks in Karakoram Range local name of this beautiful peak is Masherbrum.
The normal route to Masherbrum Peak 7821 meters is from Hushey Valley of Baltistan.

In Skardu we had learned that there are two teams in the Masherbrum Base Camp – one is the Japanese, the other was a complete mystery – we could not get any information about it.
It could well be that "bivouac" meant a tent which they had to set up by themselves rather then have set up by the porters.
At any rate the deity that watches after Masherbrum proved to be very creative.

The struggle were not stopped to reach on the summit the American team tried in 1955 but failed, so in 1960 the Pak-America expedition team led by N.B Clinch Dr. Goerge Bell and from Pakistan side Captain Javed Akhtar, they have been successful and they got the pride of Masherbrum.
The second highest of Masherbrum Peak 7821m climbed by Polish expedition in 1981 and got the second pride, unfortunately on the way back two members of the expedition lost their lives and the third man seriously injured anyhow the expedition was successful.
The British surveyor expedition in 1856 led by captain T, G, Muntugmerie, explored peaks glaciers and named K-1 for Chogori which in now called K-2 and put the name in sequence according to the height of the peaks in the area.

The treks were uphill and hard, but whenever we stopped for a rest I would look around at the stunning mountains, clouds so close, the wild goats, and the dazzling colors of the flowers growing between the rocks.
Despite the doctors prescribing two panedols to everybody for everything, we still had medicines left once we had returned from Masherbrum so we decided to set up two free medical camps in the villages of Hushe and Kande.

Karim's career began when he was befriended by the late Dick Emerson, an American climber on the successful 1960 first ascent of Masherbrum I (7,821 meters).
Emerson returned three times to Pakistan after the Masherbrum climb to spend several months in Hushe Village, living in Karim's home.
Karim was chosen for the second assault team, but the climb was cancelled by a storm when they arrived at 8,200 meters.

There is a carved wooden and old beautiful mosque named Chakh Chang supposedly the oldest mosque in Baltistan.
